Christmas might seem like it is a long ways away from now, but before you know it things will be cooling off and you will begin to wonder what you will give as gifts to some of your friends, neighbors, and loved ones. A handmade gift is always a great way to go with gift giving, especially when you can use your own creativity and resources to make something especially for the recipient. Here are a few ideas to help you put together some creative and unique gifts using Christmas Scalable Vector Graphics (SVGs) that you can find online in time for the upcoming Christmas season.

Personalize T-Shirts

T-shirts are an extremely popular piece of clothing, as they can be used for a variety of different activities, such as cleaning, shopping, or as a sleep shirt, which makes them a versatile gift. As long as you have access to a plain t-shirt and an online selection of Christmas SVGs, you can design a gift t-shirt to give to others this season.

First, select your online SVG that you want to transfer onto your t-shirt and adjust the size to fit your design. The great part about SVGs is that they can be adjusted to any size and they won't begin to show pixelization or become fuzzy in appearance, so they won't lose their quality.

Next, you will need some printable iron-on paper that you can use your own inkjet printer to print the silhouette design upon. You will also need a cricut cutter or similar machine to cut out the design on the printed iron-on paper. Apply the design onto your fabric with iron-on side down and use a hot iron without steam to apply the design.

Design a Christmas Goody Plate

You can use the same idea as with the t-shirt design but on a plate to make a goody plate that you can give to your neighbors with some fresh-baked cookies. Locate an online SVG design, such as a cute Christmas saying or a picture of Santa. Instead of iron-on paper you will need some adhesive-backed vinyl paper in the color of your choice. You will also need a plain plate that will fit the size of your SVG design.

Download the design onto your cutting machine and insert your paper to be cut. Once the image has been cut out on your vinyl paper, remove the backing to reveal the sticky side of the vinyl and carefully apply it onto the center of your plate. Fill up your plate with delicious cookies and wrap it up with cellophane and a Christmas ribbon.
